The story

Alli conceived the idea to start an art company when she received the 2008 Alumni Association Art Award while attending the University of Virginia.  After her painting Pavilion IX was published in the UVA Alumni Magazine, she received tremendous feedback from alumni wanting to purchase the painting.  Unable to satisfy the market demand with original paintings alone, she decided to expand the idea to reach as many people as possible with her artwork.

Alli McKee graduated in 2009 from the University of Virginia, where she received a B.A in American Studies and Studio Art and a minor in English.  During her art education she has traveled throughout the world and has painted in places including Slovenia, Tuscany, London, and Asia.  In the spring of 2010 she completes her Master’s degree in Marketing and Management at the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
